vim - Yank n lines upwards without moving -


To push 7 lines down without moving the cursor, I 7yy macros or remapping Is not it possible to use it?

you : yak with a border to accomplish this effect Command.

  :. 6, .yank   

Border description:

  • . or dot means the current row
  • .6 = means the current line is zero to 6
  • .- 6, . Current line from current row is zero to 6
  • It can be abbreviated .6 just -6 let us call it Giving -6 ,. Yank
  • The current row is also considered at the end of the range so that -6, yak
  • enter the yank command only : Y > can be minimized to give -6, y
