How do i link manufacturer with categories in magento -

I would like to link the creators of categories and products to my megengrove website. My goal is to get a drop down like

& lt; & Lt; Categories & gt; & Gt; (after selecting the list of available categories, the user creator, I want to load the manufacturers), select & lt; & Lt; Select creator & gt; & Gt;

I can create a custom module to bring value, but do not know how to link categories and manufacturers? Anyone can help me on this.
