css float - Floated elements in CSS. Why Can't I acomplish this? -

I'm trying to stop an initial element from overlapping. In other words, I want to float my initial element all the way to the right place if it is in the room, but if there is no room, then I should be able to stop the element running from left to left.

This may seem misleading, so I have created a small example code:

I went for hours on this, I think It is not possible to do it through the float, but again, what I have been trying to accomplish is that I have seen on many websites today

OK you can try to do some things.

Try adding:

Overflow: Hidden; Ad-top container

Also, it seems that floating is right in your example?
