I have received a code that is licensed under (CC-BY 3.0). I want to choose it and put it in a program which I have got licensed under GPL v2 +. Then I want to distribute remix work in a software package publicly under GPL 2 v2 + GPL v2 or users have a later version wish) I I am thinking that this is possible or not. I was already looking for license-compatibility on the GNU website, but it has: It is written in the statement that CC-BY 2.0 is incompatible with GPL - such as Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license Or even later ? Update: Some specific details have been asked to add, they are here: > Example Bit is a code under CC-BY 3.0, which is here:. The code I want to integrate here is: My questions about license compatibility [1.] [2.] (PHP is about being part of existing code as member member), create a patch, add it to the publicly known store, the project which is running [2.] and hopes that it will Will be released with the future version [2]. This is imposs ible to answer unless you have some details about the bits of that code Do not give what you believe and how they relate to each other together Can you provide special information about each piece of code? Url, etc.? For example (actually not software copy) are under a CC-BY license (2.5 by CC). They often combine with a GPL-licensed code and no one cares too much. Some other indications for relevant discussions:
Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 License (aka CC-By)
